You are welcome here.

Wow. It’s so good to sit down and write again for some sort of “web” source. I missed this. I missed pouring my heart out into words and sharing things that are stirring inside of it. I sat here for a long time staring at this screen because I honestly didn’t even know where to begin with what I wanted to share. One thing I want to start with is what you can expect here and expect from me- that’s always a good place to start! Honestly, most of what you’ve seen before. If you have followed along with me on Instagram for awhile then you’ll see they are all things that I am walking through with the Lord, motherhood, the beauty of homemaking, and the call that we all have in this life- to love one another.

In this season of life, more than ever, the Lord has shown me time and time again that my biggest honor and mission is being an example to my husband and to my children of what it means to love Jesus. That my daily life is an invitation of hope, love, true joy, and servanthood of the Lord. Why do I choose to do mundane things in my home with thankgiving? Because the Lord has given them to me. I’m learning more and more that the Lord’s table is always set and always ready for me to sit and partake in His bread and His wine. It’s me that allowed my circumstances to hinder me from approaching Him and His presence. It's me who allows the distractions of this life to affect how I approach my Jesus, my Wonderful Counselor. It’s me who allows the world to creep in and put the value on who I am and what I do. It’s a daily choice of showing up and deciding who is worthy of my worship. Who is worthy of praise in the mudane? King Jesus, who sees me in all things and walks with me in all things.

Another thing you can expect on here is finished beanies! I am truly excited about this. Please head on over and check them out after you’re done reading! This beanie launch and website update feels extra special. I feel like this is the first time I’ve fully designed colors and photos in a way that feels genuine and true to my heart. One thing I have reflected on is that if my creativity is driven by getting attention, I will never be creatively fulfilled because its no longer about using the gift that God gave me, but by pleasing man- that my creativity will always fall short. But when it is held in the hands of the Lord, who creates all things, it will be purposeful and beautiful. All of this is for the glory of Him and I hope each beanie received is loved and cherished.

I’ll keep it short but before I go I would love to encourage your heart with some Scripture:

“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of His glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith- that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit- just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call- one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 3:14-4:5

Can’t wait to come back here soon to write some more. Until next time, Alyssa
